We have strong relationships with secondary schools nationwide, and many of our tertiary students come directly from schools. Recognising the need for alternative tertiary-level resources and assessments, we launched packages for the National Certificate in Tourism Level 2 in 2003. Since then, we have continued to expand and enhance unit standards and resources, staying competitive and responsive to feedback from secondary schools to ensure our materials work best for teachers and students nationwide.

Our resources include:

  • Student workbooks

  • Teacher manuals (including student answers, extra resources, and activities to save planning time)

  • Assessments for all unit standards included in the New Zealand Certificate in Tourism Level 2 & Level 3

We offer flexible options to suit schools of all sizes — from those with a single student studying tourism, to schools with multiple classes.

  • Accredited schools can choose either the Budget or Fully Inclusive option, depending on the level of support needed.

  • Non-accredited schools can select the Fully Inclusive option to ensure students receive unit standard credits.

Gateway Programme

Yoobee Colleges Ltd also offers a range of Gateway Resources — industry-specific unit standards in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, Retail, Aviation, Beauty, and Creative Innovation. These units help students develop practical skills and knowledge for the workplace and their local community.

All units are available as hard copy or online e-books, giving flexibility for classroom or digital learning.

Students can complete unit standards that count towards the 20 credits needed for the Vocational Pathways – Service Industries Sector. Careers in the service industries sector focus on working with people, developing communication skills, teamwork, and promoting themselves, their company, and their country to customers.
