Elite School of Beauty & Spa - Short Courses
We offer several different Tasters for students wanting to gain credits for STAR and NCEA in Years 12 or 13. See below for more information on each STAR taster, including the unit standards completed and the credits students can achieve.
Our tasters are designed to give students hands-on, practical experience in a real training environment, while exploring potential career pathways and industry expectations.
In addition to our other exciting options, we are proud to offer tasters through the Elite School of Beauty & Spa.
At Elite, students are introduced to the dynamic and fast-growing beauty and spa industry. These tasters provide practical experience in areas such as:

Industry presentation and consultation skills
Students gain insight into what it’s like to train and work in a professional beauty clinic environment, using industry-standard products and equipment. The experience not only supports NCEA achievement through aligned unit standards, but also helps students build confidence, communication skills, and an understanding of career pathways within the beauty therapy and spa industries.
These tasters are ideal for students who are creative, people-focused, and interested in careers such as beauty therapy, spa therapy, makeup artistry, or cosmetic retail.
